Instructions

  1. Select Eggs and prepare steamer rack(s). Wash farm fresh eggs if needed. I have hard boiled between 12-18 eggs easily at one time, but with 18 eggs I have to use two layers.
  2. My kids like Scrambled Hard Boiled eggs so I scrambled them first using this scrambler that scrambles the eggs inside the shells.
  3. Pour the 1 cup of water into the bottom of the instant pot, and place the eggs in a steamer basket or rack that came with your pot.
  4. Close the lid, set for 9 minutes on low pressure.
  5. It will take the cooker approximately 5 minutes to build to pressure and then 9 minutes to cook.
  6. When the Instant Pot beeps, do a quick pressure release.
  7. Place the hot eggs into iced water right away with tongs to halt the cooking process.
