Ingredients

1 loaf frozen bread dough (refrigerated pizza dough works as well)

Herb Spread:
2 egg yolks
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp parsley
1 Tbsp oregano
¼ tsp pepper
½ tsp garlic powder

Suggested Toppings:
⅛ lb sliced pepperoni
4 oz mushroom pieces
Onion slices (I cook first)
8 oz Mozzarella

2 beaten egg whites

Warm Marinara or Spaghetti Sauce

Directions
– Thaw dough.
– Spread or roll out dough on greased or floured counter like a rectangular pizza crust.
– Mix next 6 ingredients together and spread on dough like butter.
– Cover with toppings such as mushrooms, pepperoni, onion slices, and cheese.
– Roll like a jelly roll.
– Transfer to cookie sheet and place seam side down.
– Brush top with egg whites.
– Bake at 350° 30-40 minutes.
– Rest on counter for a few minutes to make slicing easier.
– Slice into wide slices with a serrated bread knife.
– Serve with warmed marinara or spaghetti sauce to put on top or dip pieces into.

* Note: We are often creative with toppings that we use and may do half the width of a Stromboli different from the other half.
