Ingredients
3 cups fruit
1 cups sugar (divided)
1 stick butter
¾ cups milk
2 tsp. Baking powder
pinch salt
¾ cups flour

Directions
– Mix fruit with ½ cups sugar. Set aside.
– Put butter into 7 x 11 baking pan and melt in oven at 350 degrees. Remove from oven when melted.
– Make batter of remaining sugar, dry ingredients and milk. Mix lightly, the lumps do not all need to be out.
– Drop spoonfuls of batter into the melted butter, trying to distribute evenly in the pan. DO NOT STIR.
– Spoon fruit evenly over batter, DO NOT STIR.
– Bake 40 – 60 minutes, until top is nicely browned.
